Would you love to learn a skill that helps you feel calm, energised and balanced throughout life?

A ritual you can turn to when you’re struggling? This is what having a yoga and meditation practice can do for you.

At Songbird, you’ll find a small but perfectly formed offering of yoga and meditation classes and courses, suitable for most people. You DO NOT need to be flexible, fit or fancy to practice. Every body is welcome.

All you need to do is turn up, release any pressure or expectations and be curious.

Classes are generally between 30-90 minutes long and we provide all props including a yoga mat.

    Yoga nidra

    A special monthly evening event held at dusk in the garden studio

    Yoga Nidra translates to ‘yogic sleep.’ One hour is said to be equivalent to three hours sleep and modern science backs up the benefits of this deeply healing practice.

    Expect subtle music, candlelight, soft scent and hot cacao to finish. A warm and cosy space where you will leave feeling nurtured, relaxed and calm. We do a little gentle movement, some breath work and then a totally restorative guided relaxation.

    In some sessions you’ll also have the option of starting with a thermal session in the sauna, hot tub and plunge before settling in for yoga Nidra…a blissful experience for all of your senses.

    Seasonal sauna & sleep series

    As the year turns from light to dark, our bodies naturally long for more rest - but autumn and winter often feature busier than usual schedules, disrupted, shallow sleep and that constant tired-and-wired feeling.

    Blending contrast therapy, bedtime yoga stretching, breath work and fireside ritual, these evening gatherings are a true reset.

    A journey of sleeping in tune with the seasons, so you actually feel deeply rested as the end of the year arrives!

    Expect warming herbal teas and homemade Ayurvedic treats.

    You’ll leave ready to slip into bed with useful tools to help you sleep well, for the long term.

    Day retreats & workshops

    Beautifully crafted, seasonal rituals and events to uplift and connect.

    Hosted in the heart of Songbird Sanctuary, our retreats and workshops give you space to learn, feel and reset.

    Themes will vary and have health, self-compassion and our connection with nature a their heart. Each event will include use of the luxury sauna, cold plunge, fire pit, relaxation space and yoga studio, all within our wellbeing garden.

    Private, bespoke retreats can also be arranged. Please get in touch to discuss your idea and bring it to life!
