    Silent Sauna & Breathwork

    In an overstimulated world, come and savour an hour of silence in the cocooning heat of the sauna.

    In this special monthly session, you’ll be guided in a breathing practice which will boost the meditative effects of the warm sauna and natural high of the cold water which follow.

    Seasonal tea and treats to close and a chance to chat and connect at the start and the end of the evening.

    Each session includes:

    Learning 1 specific breathing technique
    Finnish sauna (with background music)
    Cold plunge
    Cool shower
    Herbal tea & seasonal sweet treat
    Fresh cucumber water

    Aromatherapy scents

    A wholesome way to share quality time with friends or family - without tech or distraction.

    We offer 2 private options, both lasting 75 minutes:

    Option 1 - up to 3 people £70

    Option 2 - up to 5 people £100

    Simply decide on your preferred day and time and email me to check availability. Weekdays and weekends both an option.

    Your time includes exclusive use of the warmly scented sauna, energising cold plunge, outdoor shower and relaxation areas, all nestled within our peaceful garden.

    Add in refreshing orange slices, cucumber-infused water and all the fresh air you could want!

    Feel the healing, therapeutic heat melt away tension while aromatherapy oils create beautifully scented loyly (steam) from the heater.

    You might also discover bravery and a love of icy water you didn’t know you had with the endorphin-enhancing cold plunge or shower.

    A few rounds of heat and cold will boost your mood and metabolism for hours to come.

    Festive Sauna Retreat

    Begin a new kind of festive tradition with friends and family - one that leaves you glowing and rested instead of drained and overstimulated.

    Book a private 2 hour mini-retreat for up to 6 people with exclusive use of the atmospheric garden Sanctuary and all facilities.

    With candlelight softly flickering, the sauna humming with pine and clove, cold plunge sparklingand fresh air cooling your skin between rounds of heat and cold.

    You might choose to unwind into a deeply restorative guided relaxation in the cosy studio, snuggled under blankets.

    As the year turns from light to dark, our bodies naturally long for more rest - but autumn and winter often feature busier than usual schedules, disrupted, shallow sleep and that constant tired-and-wired feeling.

    Use this series of evening gatherings as a true reset. A journey of sleeping in tune with the seasons, so you actually feel deeply rested as the end of the year arrives.

    Each monthly session blends:

    Sauna heat, cold water, bedtime yoga, breath work, fireside ritual, Ayurvedic treats & herbal teas from the garden.

    Inducing the kind of bone-deep, cellular relaxation that’s hard to find when you’re always on.

    You’ll take away useful tools to help you sleep better, for the long term.

    I’ve recently had some cold contrast therapy sessions with Alice at the wonderful Songbird Sanctuary and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Alice is a gentle, encouraging and knowledgeable teacher who helped me through the cold plunge element with her calm and assured guidance, especially around the breathwork (the breathing exercises really help!). I always come away from Alice’s sessions feeling energised and positive. It’s in a beautiful setting too - the sauna and cold plunge are surrounded by trees and wildlife, so it feels like you’re miles away from anywhere, yet it’s just a few miles from the centre of Leeds, close to Roundhay Park.
