This is for you if:

  • You are looking for guidance specifically tailored to your body and how it moves and feels.

  • You’d love to feel more energised and confident in your body.

  • You have difficulty really relaxing and sometimes feel anxious or that you’re running on adrenaline.

  • You’ve been told you have a chronic health condition such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue, long covid or osteoporosis and you’re now unsure of what movement you can or should be doing.

  • You’d like to see your body as your friend rather than your enemy.

  • You find yourself taking fitness classes but are never sure if you’re doing movements ‘properly’ or most effectively.

  • You’d like to be taught proper technique for all sorts of everyday movements like squatting, lifting, bending and breathing.

  • You’ve had an injury through misadventure, while exercising or just during general life activities like lifting.

  • You’ve been holding tension and stress in your body and over time this leads to something suddenly ‘going’, like your back.

  • You’re not as active as you like and, over time, this has led to more obvious aches, pains or stiffening.

  • You find you get breathless easily, breathe through your mouth or suffer from insomnia / snoring.

What my clients say.

The results I have seen for my clients.

Increased movement confidence

Often our bodies can do way more than we think, but our lack of confidence stops us trying things. I’ve seen clients’ faces light up when they realise something they thought would be impossible or painful actually came quite easily once they’d learnt a technique that worked for them.

Improved energy and stamina

Many clients start sessions wanting to improve their energy levels and get rid of fatigue and lethargy. Having regular sessions and a date in your diary with someone to guide, encourage and gently motivate you means you’ll actually do the stuff that will make you feel better!

Restful sleep and a calmer mind

After years of coping with difficulty getting to sleep, early waking due to worry and frequent feelings of low level anxiety during the day, I’ve helped clients learn accessible meditation and breathing practices they can turn to when life becomes challenging.

More ease in playing with grandchildren

Getting up and down from the floor easily is a BIG wish of many of my clients and something totally achievable with a combination of technique, practice and motivation.

Recovering quickly from a total knee replacement

Many people are waiting for joint replacements or have just had operations and need help recovering. Building strength, mobility and confidence before an operation and restoring function afterwards can make the process much less stressful.

Enjoyment in living in your body

I loved hearing one client say she now enjoys living in her body where once she found it awkward, uncomfortable and challenging. Once you widen your movement options the whole world opens up to you.

  • Bernadette, Leeds

“I started work with Alice following recovery from debilitating back problems. I needed help to return to regular exercise, and also to know the kind of exercises that would be particularly beneficial for my age.

Alice gives highly personalised training, tailored specifically to individual needs and preferences. In a short time she built up my awareness and confidence so that I was able to return to routine exercise with improved techniques.

She is a real pleasure to work with and makes exercise attainable and satisfying. I heartily recommend her.”

  • Terry, 74

“After 6 weeks of sessions with you, I am now able to:

Recover from a fall by self raising my body from the floor

Rise from a chair without additional support

Bend and pick up items from the floor without support

Lower myself to the floor without support

Feel improved movement in my right arm which has been restricted for many months due to a torn rotator cuff”

  • CB, Edinburgh

“After a year of working online with Alice, I have significantly built up my strength and mobility due to her skills at working one to one and carefully going at my pace. At 72, I am delighted with the change in how my body can now move.”

  • Bridget, 74

"One to one Zoom sessions with Alice have been a real help to me over the past few months. She has been encouraging and caring, always responsive to my needs and prepared to adapt her planned session when necessary. I am much less stiff than when I started."

  • Cathy, 72

“Alice has the gift of starting her coaching right where you are, with a blend of encouragement, perceptiveness and clear guidance about correct body movements."

  • Jayne, 64

"Alice offered me a bespoke, holistic movement programme and in our sessions we cover a wide range of activities and disciplines; sometimes really simple things such as a reminder of how to breathe..and after the physical exercise there is always a way of cooling down and stretching (the two areas I admit to “forget” to do when training on my own!)"
