Health & Safety Waiver and Cancellation Policy - 1:1 coaching, yoga & meditation

I, agree to the following:

That I am participating in movement sessions, or any other yoga, breath work, exercise or coaching programmes offered by Songbird Sanctuary, during which I will receive information and instruction about physical movement, yoga and breath work. I recognise that exercise requires physical exertion, which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.

I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the sessions offered by Songbird Sanctuary. I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and I have no medical condition, which would prevent my full participation in these sessions.

If I am pregnant I understand that I participate fully at my own risk and that of my unborn child/children.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the sessions, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or programmes offered by Songbird Sanctuary.

In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the sessions, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I may have against Songbird Sanctuary for injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in these programmes.

I hereby take full and sole responsibility from any liability of loss or damage to personal property associated with sessions or any other events.

Online & Virtual Classes

As with our in-person sessions, by taking part in any online session, you acknowledge that sessions may be physically strenuous, and you voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there could be a risk of personal injury.

When practising from home, you accept full responsibility for your space and the health and safety precautions within this space.

You acknowledge that Songbird Sanctuary accepts no responsibility for any potential injuries as a result of practise via an online platform.

Songbird Sanctuary is not responsible for any injuries you may experience as a result of your use of any material given outside of coached sessions.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is clear and transparent allowing everyone to know where they stand in relation to payment for sessions.

Private 1:1 online or in-person sessions - 100% of the session price will be charged if less than 24 hours notice is given. No charge if the session is cancelled or re-scheduled with more than 24 hours notice.

Group classes or courses - No refunds. Transfer of ticket to another person may be possible depending on the session booked. Please enquire.

Payment Policy

Payment will be required in full before each booking commences.

I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above under my own free will. By booking any sessions or accessing material given outside of coached sessions, I hereby agree to the terms and conditions above.

Upon booking sessions with Songbird Sanctuary you indicate acceptance of our waiver.

Health & Safety Waiver and Cancellation Policy - Thermal sessions at Songbird Sanctuary

I, agree to the following:

  • Alcohol and nudity are not permitted anywhere within the Sanctuary including in the sauna, hot tub or cold plunge. Songbird Sanctuary operators reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons.

  • Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the sauna.

  • Any hanging jewellery should be removed before entering the sauna to prevent burning.

  • Any glasses or contact lenses should be removed before entering the sauna to avoid any damage to coatings and to prevent contact lenses from drying out.

  • Any footwear including flip-flops and sliders should be removed before entering the sauna, hot tub or cold plunge.

  • Any neoprene items (swimsuits, swim shoes etc.) should be removed before entering the sauna as they are not suitable for hot temperatures.

  • Songbird Sanctuary is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

  • All persons using the sauna, hot tub and cold plunge do so at their own risk. I confirm that I do not have any medical conditions that would make sauna, hot tub or cold plunge use unsafe for me, or I have consulted a medical professional who has confirmed sauna use is safe in my case.

  • You must not use the sauna if you:

    • suffer from high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder or suffer from epilepsy or diabetes;

    • are pregnant; or

    • are prone to dizziness or fainting.

  • All persons using the cold plunge and hot tub do so at their own risk.

  • Sauna etiquette must be adhered to at all times. This includes;

    • Sitting on a towel at all times (this soaks up your sweat and stops the wooden benches from becoming stained or rotten)

    • Staying in the sauna for no longer than 20 min at a time (we recommend 10-15 min sessions)

    • Gently pouring water onto the sauna stove using the ladle; drizzle, don't dump water

    • Only pouring the provided 'sauna water' on hot rocks and nothing else

    • Getting changed within your booked time slot, if you'd like to use the changing room.

  • Please refrain from bringing your own essential oils and other products for the session as these cannot be used in our sauna. Essential oils that haven't been approved for in-sauna use may react to the heat and release toxins, ignite on the stove, or create slippery surfaces inside the sauna.

  • Songbird Sanctuary is situated outside in a private garden. By using the Songbird Sanctuary space, you accept full responsibility for your own safety. Any injury, accident, or harm that may occur is entirely at your own risk.

  • If you are making this booking on behalf of a group, you confirm that all members of your group have read and agreed to these terms and conditions and understand that sauna and cold plunge and hot tub use are at their own risk and will practice safe sauna and cold plunge use.

  • Non-Commercial Booking Declaration

    • By booking this session, I confirm that I am booking for personal or private use only. I am not a wellness practitioner, facilitator, or business booking this session with the intention of commercially reselling tickets, running classes, workshops, or any form of organised activity.

  • Songbird Sanctuary operators reserve the right to refuse entry, cut short, or cancel sessions for any reason that may be deemed a health and safety risk, if there are concerns about risky behaviour, or if any of the above rules are not followed. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.

  • Songbird Sanctuary accepts no liability for injury, illness, accident, loss, or damage arising from sauna, hot tub or cold plunge use or use of the surrounding facilities.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is clear and transparent allowing everyone to know where they stand in relation to payment for sessions.

All booked Thermal sessions, which includes use of the sauna, cold plunge, hot tub and relaxation area, are non-refundable and the dates non-transferable. You may be able to transfer your space to another person if agreed beforehand. All users will need to have read and signed a Waiver before using the Sanctuary.
